More than a century has passed since Giovanni Lucchi manufactured his first shoes pair in Piumazzo (MO). This started the ongoing familiar tradition that lasts since today, involving Lucchi's the third generation. The core business shifted, then, from production to retail and the subsequent growth of the family brought the commercial activity in Bologna during '30s.

Thanks to the dedication of Lucchi's second generation, in the '60s came a new expansion in the wholesale market, in these years the Centergross was founded. This is the true entrepreneurial turning point of the activity, in 1973 Lucchi s.r.l. is amongst the first firms involved in the opening of the Centergross, the greatest wholesale shoppping center in Europe.

Firm's footprint, despite the reached size, is tenaciously loyal to the legacy that passed it's first century of life: since 1989 the third generation of Lucchis, embodied by Mrs. Lucchi Maria Cristina, assisted by her husband Caruso Rino, a tight-knitted loving couple that works together in mutual help, took the lead of the firm.
